Guests will vote to elect the winner of the Golden Ladle Award.  Local notables will also join us as judges and select a favorite soup in various categories. At the awards ceremony, these favorites will be recognized along with the winner of the Golden Ladle Award. We’ll see how the “people’s choice” compares with the professionals' choice.

Keep in mind that the theme is "Thankful". It is not required that you stick to this, but judges will consider theme in their judging. You can either create something that embraces the seasonal flavors of Thanksgiving and Autumn, or feature a recipe that evokes thankfulness in you.

Set up for chefs begins at 4:15 pm (please make sure you are fully set up by 4:45 pm)

Please prepare enough soup for 125 3 oz. sample servings (approximately 3.5 gallons)

Oasis will provide the sampling bowls, spoons, and a sign to label your soup. Please bring your own warming dish (chafing dish, hot plate, or crock pot), any equipment needed to meet health standards, and any promotional material for your business or organization you would like to display.

You will be responsible for manning your table and ladling your soup samples.

Chefs are responsible for maintaining proper time and temperature as well as filling out a Temporary Food Application. This application must be turned in by mail or in person to Oasis no later than one week prior to the event. All soups must be prepared in an inspected kitchen which the health department can access. If you do not have a kitchen that meets these needs, you may contact us at Oasis to see if we can arrange a time for you to use our kitchen here.
